# maven-container

## Description

**DEPRECATED**. Please use the [jib provider](https://docs.garden.io/acorn-0.12/reference/providers/jib) instead.

Adds the [maven-container module type](https://docs.garden.io/acorn-0.12/reference/module-types/maven-container), which is a specialized version of the `container` module type that has special semantics for building JAR files using Maven.

To use it, simply add the provider to your provider configuration, and refer to the [maven-container module docs](https://docs.garden.io/acorn-0.12/reference/module-types/maven-container) for details on how to configure the modules.

Below is the full schema reference for the provider configuration. For an introduction to configuring a Garden project with providers, please look at our [configuration guide](https://docs.garden.io/acorn-0.12/using-garden/configuration-overview).

The reference is divided into two sections. The [first section](#complete-yaml-schema) contains the complete YAML schema, and the [second section](#configuration-keys) describes each schema key.

## Complete YAML Schema

The values in the schema below are the default values.

### `providers[]`

### `providers[].name`

The name of the provider plugin to use.

### `providers[].dependencies[]`

List other providers that should be resolved before this one.

### `providers[].environments[]`

If specified, this provider will only be used in the listed environments. Note that an empty array effectively disables the provider. To use a provider in all environments, omit this field.
